Transition 1
Comments: The fastest T1 transition time was only 6 seconds faster than mine. That could be attributed to having road shoes? What would you do differently?: I have to work on having either my shoes clipped in, or being able to run with my shoes and hop on the bike. Bike
Comments: The wind was 5-10mph the whole time, but kept shifting. It was only at my back maybe twice on the entire course. This was the main factor that kept me from pulling over 20 on this course. What would you do differently?: I really need to work on my legs after the bike. Transition 2
Comments: Socks are really holding me up in transition. I'm also really considering running barefoot and leaving my shoes clipped in - the cleats make my running slow. What would you do differently?: I think I may try running barefoot a few times during my weekly runs to get used to/see if i can run without socks in a race. Run
Comments: My legs were REALLY dead after the bike. What would you do differently?: I HAVE TO BRICK MORE! Post race
Warm down: Walked around the finish, talking to people. I got food (pizza was too greasy) and kept drinking water. What limited your ability to perform faster: My performance. Event comments: I did well in this race, especially in the transitions. They still need work but they went well. My bike average would have been right at 20 if I wouldn't have launched a bottle and gone back to get it. I count that as a success as well, even though I think I pushed too hard on the bike because my run was so rough. That could also be attributed to my lack of bricking.
