Comments: Still some pain from 2 weeks ago. I rested it as much as I could, probably should have jogged or walked a little. Felt pretty good at 6 mile point then turned into the wind crossing back into down town and the cold wind cut through my bare legs, I felt the muscles cool and tighten. What would you do differently?: No get injured 2 weeks prior to the race Post race
Warm down: stretches, put on pants ..1.5 hour drive home legs got very tight, almost couldn't walk What limited your ability to perform faster: injury Event comments: The start area was staged based on estimated pace/mile and un-timed runners/walkers strollers/dogs etc. I lined up with the 9minute plus then had to struggle passing walkers, dogs and strollers. Tried to stretch and warm up, Tempos fell from 75 to 40 in 1 hour time. Hard to keep a good warm up while standing in the wind.
