Stand around shivering.
Run
  • 21m 14s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 06m 50s  min/mile
Comments:

Folks took off pretty fast. Some young guys were looking at the race results saying, "I couldn't run that fast if you strapped a rocket to my (tail)."
What would you do differently?:

Trip some of the older looking guys that were jumping up and down, foaming at the mouth, at the start.
Post race
Warm down:

Drank some Propel and staggered back to the car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Started mid-pack and got blocked out at start. Also, I'm an old goat and my legs don't go that fast.

Event comments:

Apparently I didn't get any slower this week while I had the flu, but a lot of guys my age apparently got faster! Fun race, with a lot of very nice people hanging around, actually. Any race that benefits a school in Kenya is probably going to be a fast one, right?
