Swim
Comments: Well what can I say. At least I did free style the whole way. I didn't panic. I'm just super slow. Sigh. What would you do differently?: Ummmmmmm...Swim lessons? More swimming? Transition 1
Comments: Was fairly pleased with my transition. Thought it was slower as I took my time getting my socks and shoes on. Plus to catch my breath. :) What would you do differently?: I can always improve in this area. Bike
Comments: I felt good and strong. I knew though that I needed to conserve a little so I had enough in the legs for the run. What would you do differently?: Train on the bike more would be nice. Transition 2
Comments: A little slower. I had to run with bike shoes to the transition area. My bike was way in the back. Luckily the run start was in the back. What would you do differently?: Well I could leave my bike shoes on the bike. I'm not good enough for that advanced technique yet. ;) Run
Comments: Legs felt a little stiff when I started. Got into a groove and felt o.k. It's honestly hard to tell if one is running fast or slow when you run after the bike portion. I just run... Had enough to kind of sprint to the finish. Gagged a little when I finished LOL, than proceeded to get some fluids. I was a little dehydrated. What would you do differently?: Maybe drink more. Post race
Warm down: Walked around a bit. Had some post race food and waited a long time for the awards ceremony. I don't podium much, so I wanted to stick around. Unfortunately the wait was super long and my kids were getting tired. I finally got my 3rd place AG award and went home. :) What limited your ability to perform faster: THE SWIM!!!!!! I honestly need to work on this. The swim just kills me every time. This winter, I'm definitely investing in some lessons!! Event comments: The race was well organized and fun. The only thing I didn't like was waiting for your times to be posted. Than waiting a super long time for the awards ceremony. They had some difficulties with the race result. I guess better to make sure everything is right than to find out later everything is wrong. Last updated: 2010-09-03 12:00 AM

This was my last triathlon for the season!!
Bagel with PB, cup of coffee, and a banana.
Had a cliff shot about 30 minutes prior to race.
Nothing really. You could warm-up in the pool if you wanted. I didn't because I knew I was going to wait a while before I would actually race. I figured I wasn't going to benefit much. They closed the pool to warm-ups about 30 minutes prior to the race start. I wasn't going to actually race until about 8:30. That would have been an hour. So I just jumped around instead. :)
