Run
Comments: Great weather. Had hoped for 20:xx on the clock when I finished. In the chute, saw 19:57 and knew I couldn't quite make it, but I was pushing. Still happy about the PR at 21:02 (on my watch, I think official is 21:03). A good start to the first weekend as my life is now. I know the first two K were consistent. Ran strong, felt good. Had extra in tank for the last .5k. Maybe I'm not going all out, but I know from my training that my steady pace now is a LOT faster than it used to be. Started well. The point where I often start to feel burned out (coming toward Robinson), I felt good. Was able to feel good throughout. PRs for just about everyone I talked to or heard around. Great conditions. Cool before the race, just perfect during and no wind. Would almost think the course was short, but it's the same course we run every year, so it's consistent. What would you do differently?: Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Not quite sure the best way to get those last few seconds trimmed. Maybe work on form? Maybe just train at higher speeds? Event comments: Even like the shirts. Light blue, silver accents for the 25th anniversary. Last updated: 2010-09-04 12:00 AM

First day of my new life.
Got there earlier than needed to register, have time, ran a few strides, etc. to warm up. Shooting for a 20:xx finish and a big PR. I know my fitness is there.
