Pre-race routine:

Ate my power meal the night before which is stir fry w/lots of veggies. and 1/2 cinn- raison bagel w/peanut butter in the am.
Event warmup:

There was no warm up. Mentally I just kept telling myself to go slow.

Comments:

I had a perfect run. I really was full of energy and positive the whole time. I knew I could do the 31 miles I set out to do. I only had to stop to potty twice. My legs felt good. My feet were hurting on the last lap. I also remmember at some point my inside hurt. I told Carrie that it was my uterus. That is what it felt like, soon enough, it was gone.
What would you do differently?:

I cannot really think of anything I would do differently. Maybe practice on some trails next time. I had not run a trail run since Evansburg and that was not good.
Post race
Warm down:

2 chili dogs. I did not warm down. I think I had hit my max at that moment. I was seriously considering doing another lap as a walk/run, but I kept thinking that it would do me in. I was feeling great and reached my goal

I am definetly going to do this race next year. Depending on how my life is going MAYBE I will shoot for a longer distance;)

Course: The course was good. Mile 1-2 was a little hilly so I walk a lot of that mile. There was a dirt hill that you had to build up speed to get up and a rock wall that was the killer for me. There were some rocky points but not too bad. 5 mile loop
