Up early enough to make sure restroom business is out of the way, Cup of coffee(drank on the hour drive down),
Event warmup:

Stretch, jog 100 yeards or so to get the blood moving.

Comments:

Did good, two minutes faster than my goal. Not bad for an overwight old guy who just starting running less than two months ago! Right leg felt a little more stressed than normal, nothing I couldn't tough out, though.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe wear shoes I train in instead of shoes I haven't worn in a year for a race!

Walked around, stretched, drank gatorade, ate a granola bar.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Shoes weren't broken in?

Event comments:

This race was fun all-around. Swag bag and raffle prizes make it very worth-while. My first ever 5K race and I couldn't ask more a much better experience!
