Swim
Comments: This was my first tri and I expected the swim to be tough, but this was tougher than expected. I had trouble settling into a rhythm. My performance had nothing to do with the course. The course was great. What would you do differently?: Warm up in the water afer a light jog. Transition 1
Comments: My suit was stuck on my timing chip. I fumbled my sunglasses and racebelt. My shoes were in their clips with rubber bands securing their position. What would you do differently?: Secure my sunglasses to my helmet. Bike
Comments: Felt good on the bike. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: T2 went smoothly. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: Peformed better than I expected. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Walking. Gave my wife and kids a hug and kiss. What limited your ability to perform faster: Experience and training (particularly swimming). Event comments: Great race to learn how to be a triathlete. Variety of experience levels are present. Good vibe from the participants. Great organization and course layout. The Madison Jaycess take their event seriously. The proceeds/revenue go to a great cause. Last updated: 2010-09-13 12:00 AM

Stayed locally. Awoke at 5:00 AM. Checked in at 5:30 AM. Set up my gear. Realized my bike shoes were no longer clipped to my back at 6 AM. Drove like a madman to retrieve the missing shoes. Returned in time for a warm-up. Nutrition: yogurt, water, gel
10 minutes, jog/run
