Swim
Comments: Swam a little wonky but overall I had a fairly consistent swim. What would you do differently?: I have started going to Squad, this has been beneficial. Transition 1
Comments: Long run from beach to T1 and then onto road, got on to bike and into shoes once I got away from the other cyclists. What would you do differently?: Good transition. Very happy Bike
Comments: I punished this ride and didn't get passed by many at all. 32 km/hr on this course is actually pretty good. I ranked 27th out of 128! What would you do differently?: Nothing. My cycling is coming along quite well. Transition 2
Comments: Two words. Smooth. Gone. What would you do differently?: Real quick transition. No problems at all. Run
Comments: It took me 2km to get my legs properly and I got stronger as I went on but I held a consistent pace and felt happy with my performance. I could not have run any harder, I was right on the limit. I still managed to break that 5 min/km pace so a good start to the season. What would you do differently?: Keep up my running training. Post race
Warm down: No warm down today. What limited your ability to perform faster: Its the first hit out for the season and I am happy with my performance. I pushed myself hard for the whole race. Event comments: A busy and technical bike leg but this isn't a bad venue. I will always keep it in mind for a pre season race. I only took a minute off from last race but hey with the heart problems I had during the winter and only training for 8 weeks, I'm stoked! A PB is a PB. Next up, Rockingham.
