Pre-race routine:

packed car night before, got a good night's sleep. Ate peach and packed PB on round bread. Arrived 6:30 and filled tires with air. Body marking, chip and TA set up; rode bike about 5 minutes to set up,
Event warmup:

swam 25, 50, 75, 100, 100 and felt stiff in water. Legs were a bit cramped. Last 100 was best of the warm up

run went well. I took a Hammer gel during T2 and felt a little gastro distress during mile 3. Glad that I practiced the course on Monday. Only walked once during the entire run.

tie shoes (yanks) tighter in t2

Only improvement would be the Foothills beer truck at the finish!

OMG, it was a mess. I passed someone on the first lap and then on the 3rd lap. Walked on the 4th lap because it was so backed up. Passed another person. I wasn't going very fast, but there were a lot of slow people.
