![]() Swim
Comments: I could not catch my breath for the life of me. I can not figure out what went wrong here. I never came so close to just quitting. Finally, after struggling and doing every stroke imaginable I got going after 2/3 of the way into it. Maybe it was mental....heck. I just don't know. What would you do differently?: Figure out this breathing issue. I predicted 30 minutes so I was plus 17 minutes at this point. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: not a bad transition... east to find my bike (lol) Not too much trouble pulling off the wetsuit. Used bodyglide. What would you do differently?: nothing. ![]() Bike
Comments: I like this bike course. It was challenge with all the hills. I passed probably 40+ people. Did especially good on the uphill climbs and got some serious speed on the decents. Very technical course. What would you do differently?: Nothing ![]() Transition 2
Comments: good tranisition - 2 minutes is one of my fastest t2's that I can remember. What would you do differently?: nothing ![]() Run
Comments: Good solid run. Passed another 10 or so people and only got passed by 1 or 2. Just took my time, made sure I stayed hydrated and had fun. It was neat having your name on your race number. Had a bunch of people yell my name which was awesome. What would you do differently?: not much. ![]() Post race
Warm down: talked with the kids and SIL and her husband. Relaxed. Stretched out a bit. What limited your ability to perform faster: The swim was a big factor in my time. I think I would have been close to the 3 hour mark with a 'normal' swim and might have pushed the run harder. I finished and that was my 'c' goal. First tri in 15 years under my belt. Event comments: I think the REV3 people did an outstanding job. I would come back and do this again...or another REV3 race somewhere. Last updated: 2010-09-23 12:00 AM

Really didn't do anything special. Was nervous so I couldn't eat...just continues to hydrate as much as possible.
NO swim warm up allowed so I just stretched and tried to stay warm
