2 slices of peanut butter toast for breakfast with a bottle of water. Prep transistion and wait to start.

Relax more and focus on swiming

practice flying mount onto bike and get up to speed to get into shoes faster.

Headwinds going out, nice tailwind on the way back in.
What would you do differently?:

Push more on the first loop and recover with the tailwind like I did on the second loop.

Not bad for T2. Forgot my watch so I didn't have it on the run.
What would you do differently?:

Don't sit down to put shoes and socks on. Grab watch from bike right after racking, shoes / socks, grab race belt and hat and put them on while exiting transition.

Good run course. Felt comfortable for the majority of the run. Had a good kick at the end.
What would you do differently?:

Incorporate more hill training. Continue to do bricks and focus on getting up to race pace quickly and maintaining.

Warm down:

Water bottle and gatorade. Walked to the crapper to cool down.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Swimming.

Event comments:

OUL puts on excellent races. For a first time Oly, this was great. I know it will only get better next year. Will do it again for sure.
