Swim
Comments: I honestly thought it was quite a bit faster. Easier to get past the break water. Felt like we swam with the current, but had to fight it a bit coming in. I was right off the back of the front pack which was weird. Top swims were in the 13:xx range. Not many at that, so I am pretty happy. Really never found anyone to draft off. I lead the 2nd pack and caught up to the front pack right as we turned to head in. Despite the slow average speed I think I had a great swim looking at the other times. What would you do differently?: Swim harder. Transition 1
Comments: 11th fastest OA. What would you do differently?: Not get caught behind someone. Crazy packed transition. Bike
Comments: Some what windy. Reset my PT like normal before the race, but at the start of the race the CPU never picked up the wheel. So I raced blind. What would you do differently?: Possibly could have pushed more. Transition 2
Comments: Slow. Had to redo one shoe. As I first put it on, I collapsed the heal tab. What would you do differently?: Setup shoes better. Run
Comments: Lackluster. I did not feel good until into the last mile. I think the run was short. What would you do differently?: Not do yard work the day before. Post race
Warm down: Walked for a minute. Almost went back in the water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Yard work the day before. No real training for almost 2 weeks. Event comments: Great to race local. Should do it more. 20th OA, 2nd AG. http://www.plattsys.com/m1shell.asp?eventid=682 Pretty happy overall. Last updated: 2010-09-29 12:00 AM

The day before the race, I spent hours weeding, chopping up a stump, digging the stump up and hauling rocks.
Got to bed at a reasonable hour.
Woke up, made some oatmeal and coffee. Took our time and drove over. Checked in and then found a spot in transition. Jogged quick and rushed to get wetsuit on and head to the start of the swim.
