Swim
Comments: No wetsuit, still beasted this. The first mile was crowded from the mass start, so I had little space to stretch out, but whatever. Eventually things improved and I could relax. My core temp was low after 1.5 miles. What would you do differently?: Wear a wetsuit? Transition 1
Comments: Um, took a minute getting dressed cuz I forgot my towel. I was cold from the swim. What would you do differently?: Remember a towel Bike
Comments: Got passed a lot early in the bike, but came back and took them all back and then some. Thought I took this out too hard, because goal pace was 6:30, but turned out 5:45 was just fine! What would you do differently?: Train more miles and hills on the bike to kick more butt! Transition 2
Comments: Meh. I took my time to make sure I was set for the run. What would you do differently?: Nothing really. Run
Comments: Can't believe I maintained such a great pace after that hard of a bike. Couldnt have done it without the aid stations and people cheering me on though. Ice helped A LOT! What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Water. Stood in Lake Erie afterwards. Ate food. Slept. What limited your ability to perform faster: A wetsuit for the swim? An aero helment for the bike? More run miles instead of being handicapped most of the year with plantar fasciitis? Event comments: Props to REV3, lots of awesome things to say. Plenty of support, lots of friendly people cheering us on, very organized race, was never lost en route. Great times! Last updated: 2010-10-03 12:00 AM

Up at 0330 with maybe 4-5 hours of sleep wearing recovery tights all night. PB & J bagel, shower, shave legs, chest, face, apply tattoos. 2 cups coffee. Dump. Pasta salad. Stretching.
Walk to T-area, 20 minutes-ish. Dropped off gear bags. Dump and yoga while in line. Walk to beach starting area. Met with my Mom. Stretch and loud music.
