Comments: Right knee started to hurt real bad at mile 6.5. Had to stop and stretch out my right leg at mile 8. Had a real good sprint the last 1.5 miles. Feet were numb from the cold for the first 3 miles which effected my stride. What would you do differently?: My training in the month of October was poor at best. Had life issues come up and was not able to run much. I have not run more than 7 miles since my last half marathon. Next time I will train better before the race. Post race
Warm down: Drank my Chocolate milk and tried to stretch out my legs. I started putting ice on the knee once I got home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Cold and pain in right leg. Ate a bowl of whole oatmeal 1.5 Hrs before race and a 2xcaffeine gel 15 min before the start.
No warm up it was freezing and it was good to just stay warm.
