Swim
Comments: Pool swim with a time trial start. Started off too fast, as I was determined not to be passed by the person behind me. Slowed a little in the 2nd half. I now understand what people say about keeping a pace and your HR under control for the swim. What would you do differently?: Start at a more reasonable pace so I don't loose my momentum halfway through. Transition 1
Comments: Transition 1 was too slow, need to work on this transition more. Next time- leave the socks off for the bike, and place helmet in a better spot. Bike
Comments: Forgot to set the bike up in the big chain ring before the start, and dropped the chain with a bad shift starting out. Took a few miles to get my HR settled form the swim and sorted out. Was able to pass people coming up the small hill on the bridge over the river. What would you do differently?: Get bike into big chainring before start and stay in the drops more. I did not spend a lot of time on the bike in September and it showed. Transition 2
Comments: T2 went better, was able to get out of bike shoes and into run shoes quickly. Couldn't find my race belt for a second, cost a little bit of time. What would you do differently?: Organize transition a little better and not screw it up during T1. Run
Comments: Good run for me, took a little while for my feet to unfreeze. The pace was near a PR for me at that distance. Each of the three miles were within a second of each other (8:35/8:36/8:37). What would you do differently?: Need to work on my run more. Not a bad pace, but need to get faster. Post race
Warm down: Walked around a bit, light stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to work on all 3 speeds more. Event comments: A fun race overall, enjoyed my first tri experience. Lost an AG place on the run. Last updated: 2010-10-03 12:00 AM

Got a little lost on the way, arrived a little late. Had a Cliff Bar and soda on the drive in.
