Woke up at 5:30am to leave at 6:30am to be at race by 7:15 for 8am start.

Oatmeal and coffee for breakfast.
Event warmup:

Drank some gatorade, took a gu, peed. Nothing special. Why warmup for 31.1 miles?

Comments:

I was limited by legs not my cardio. I'd guess that is to be expected coming off an IM, but I really never felt tired. Just my legs hurt.
What would you do differently?:

Well, obviously I did this race because I need run help for distance for IMKY 11. This was my punishment for such a crappy IMKY 10 split. Had a LOT of fun. Definitely love me some swimming and biking, but this was a great change of pace.

The trails were brutal on my legs and the hills destroyed my hamstrings. I never run hills, nor race them (save Duke 09). The ice was tough too as I am not used to that either and my leg stability muscles told me that around mile 18 - 31.
Post race
Warm down:

Left ASAP, Jordan had finished earlier and was ready to roll.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Need to be a better runner, learn trails, hills, COLD. I HATE cold.

Event comments:

Striders as always put on a great show. WIll intend to do again in 11.
