Comments:

At the start I had my suit unzipped. Then had some trouble getting it xipped up before the gun, as soon as I hit the water the suit opened, I stopped to fix it, maybe lost 30 seconds between getting it fixed and catching my breath
What would you do differently?:

not mess around with suit just before the gun. could of maybe used a sleevelesss top (if I had one)

I tried leaving the suit on until all the way to xtion. I like taking it off before much better. SPent some extra time here as I knew it was straight up hill and no chance to catch my breath on the bike anwyay. pron 1:30 too slow at least here/

I did great on the descents, but the climbing was tough. BUt thats why I signed up so can't complain too much. Looking at the results and the front of the field its the bike course where the time was made up or lost on this course. Would love to come back as a better climber/

had a few short segments of walking. Decided at the end I really didn't want the two guys in my AG around me to catch me at the finish so at mile 5 I kicked it in so that they wouldn't be able to contest the finish chute. GOtta love the battle for 14th!

Warm down:

ice on head. It started getting hot quick and I was glad I didn't sign up for the half. Got to my car and it was 95. ouch.

Course: First climb didn't stop for 7 miles. After that it was a fast 4 mile decent then to the top, this 4 miles was much steeper. Then a quick downhill, back up, and decend for 7 miles to the finish.
