Pre-race routine:

Went to my parents the night before because I fogot I had already made dinner plans with them. Ate well there and spent the night. My friend E went with me and we left the parent's casa at 5:30 to get to the race site. Little did I realize that I'd be hanging out for a long, long time before the race.
Set up my tranition area, hung my pink hula flowers on the bar ends, put everything into place and said goodbye to my little girl, the bike.

Was able to be a drafting whore for about 200 meters at various times. I really kicked in and passed up 3 chicks at the end.
What would you do differently?:

nothing- still getting use to my wetsuit but it'll come in time :). I'm happy with my swim and with my age group rank. I know I can do better as I hit it harder.

Didnt have the "wild drunk bat" feeling when I got out of the water like I did with TxTri- I put that up to it being 1000 shorter.
What would you do differently?:

work on having my shoes on the bike. taking a clinic next monday.

Had the ability in me to work harder and push it more. I have to tap into that next time. Watch out CapTx

I turne the corner and didnt have time to get both feet out of my shoes. I just took one out and left one on, then had to pull out the one on and run. Not a horrible thing but it shouldnt have happened.

not the best run but getting better. I have work to do and I'm, well..working on that. I did roll my ankle but am lucky enought that nothing really happend. Its a little sore now but nothing bad.

Warm down:

little bit of stretching, that's all.- oh yeah, and hanging out with RGRBILL's daughter Hannah- which was a highlight!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Me, that's it- i just didnt want to push really, really hard. I know that I could have taken atleast 2 minutes off overall if i had- but im not upset about that. Heck, I did my first olympic two weeks ago with a stomach virus. I'm still in the recovery phase. i'm happy.

Event comments:

I'd do it again because I know the site from Danskin. I like how the bike course went the other way than danskin did so the hills werent as hard.
