![]() Run
Comments: The course was incredibly slippery, with ice and snow hampering progress. Combined with the hills, and my very strong desire NOT to fall down and not get up for 8 weeks (again), I took it really easy. The up bits were not too bad; it was the downhills on which I felt I had the last control. My friend Claudia kept me company ... and at the top of Papa Bear ... I had to ... I lay down and made a snow angel. What would you do differently?: Nothin'. It was all good for the course. The lululemon run jacket was AWESOME. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Stood around and drank coffee, and waited for my Coach to get his first-place prize. What limited your ability to perform faster: SNOW and ICE and oh yeah, 4 screws in my left sit bone. Event comments: Great race. There were no volunteers on the course, but they would have been frozen lumps by the time the race ended. The course was fairly well marked and we all managed with no significant injuries. It was good fun. Last updated: 2010-10-14 12:00 AM

Find the warmest clothes I can, look out the window, wonder if the race is still a "go." Lots of the white stuff coming down. Call a few friends. We decide to go for it. Oh yeah, and I have a scrambled egg and some coffee.
Standing around exclaiming about the white stuff. Go outside for pictures in the white stuff. Get bundled up as a precaution against the white stuff. Gabble excitedly. Oh, and stretch and limber up a little.
