Pre-race routine:

Since this was my first race I can't say that I had a 'routine'. Ate a bagel and a granola bar at 5 am and had a coffee (!!!) on-site.
Event warmup:

Rode the bike from Hotel to Transition area (4 miles). Then hung out and watched the fun.

Using Tri specific shoes would shave off 5 seconds - not worth it

when having own wetsuit cut off the legs a bit to make it easier to slide over timing strap
