Comments: very happy with my first half marathon. I really felt like I ran it just right. basically ran at the upper limit of what I could maintain for the first 10 miles, then turned it up and did an 8:03,7:48, and 7:48 to finish. What would you do differently?: nothing. very happy. Post race
Warm down: this was a problem i didn't anticipate. because there were so many runners, there was no room to stretch and loosen up afterwards. I got corralled into the exit chute shoulder to shoulder with all of the other runners and it took a good 5-8 minutes to get through. managed to stretch a little afterwards, but by then I had already really tightened up. no routine really. the only consistent thing from race to race is coffee and nerves.
just some light stretching. i let the first mile at an easy pace be the warmup
