Pre-race routine:

Up at 4 a.m. Actually slept well, with about 6.5 hours of sleep. Ate 2/3 of a PBJ, sipped black tea and gatorade. Drove the hour up to Denver.
Event warmup:

Walked 1 mile from parking garage to port-a-potties. Spent next 20 minutes doing the "pee dance" in the line up to the potty.

Comments:

The weather was perfect. I settled into a comfortable pace, which was about 10s/mile faster than my goal and held it for the first half. I was still feeling good at this point, so I sped up by about 5-10 secs/mile. The last 5K were tough, but I still a little left to speed up for the last 800 meters. Couldn't ask for a flatter coarse or better weather! I went well.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked the mile back to my car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

genetics, only second full marathon.

Event comments:

Pros: Scenic coarse.
I enjoyed the bands.
Good crowd support for second half.
Plenty of hydration stations
finishing medal was good

Cons: Better food choices at finish line would help.
(petty complaint) would have liked a long-sleeve tech. shirt.

Performance: Good
Managed splits of 2:05:00 and 2:03:18.
Course: The coarse was nice and very flat. It seemed like half of the race was ran winding through the same park. The scenery was good though, until the last 10K through the ghetto. It was my first time in down-town Denver.
