Comments: Had a reasonalby good swim, did not push very hard, as I was a bit worried about the rest of the race. What would you do differently?: Push harder. Transition 1
Comments: Almost an immediate uphill following the mount line! What would you do differently?: Start taking my wetsuit off a little sooner. Bike
Comments: Had too much sport drink. The position on the bike, and the accumulation of sugar started giving me cramps about 2/3 way. Got some water at the bottle exchange, and that helped considerably. What would you do differently?: Take water and sport drink. Transition 2
Comments: Was a little wiped and forgot to remove feet from shoes coming into transition--oh well ... ran with bike shoes on. Then I left T2 and forgot my race belt!!! Did the whole course w/o it and was OK. What would you do differently?: Prepare better for T2!! Run
Comments: Was getting quite hot, plus with a lingering case of plantar fasciitis, I had not been running much. My time reflects that! What would you do differently?: Not get injured before a race! Post race

Got up at the ungodly hour of 3:45 to make the 1 hr drive to the race site. Had a bigger breakfast than usual, as I knew it would be some time till my race started (8:09).
Went for a short swim. Water temp was perfect!
