Swim
Comments: Just never felt comfortable and couldn't find a good rhythm. Goggles started to leak after first lap which didn't help. This was the point where someone passed me. What would you do differently?: Could definitely benefit from a swim coach or lessons. Also need to find the right goggles BEFORE I jump in the water. An extra pair in the bag would be nice. Transition 1
Comments: Took my time to make sure I didnt forget anything. Also I felt like I just got my butt kicked after the swim and felt pretty gassed so I needed to take some time to gather myself. Had a little bit of trouble puting on my long sleeve shirt when wet. Towards the last half of the bike and the whole run it got a little warm so I probably could ave ditched the shirt but didn't. What would you do differently?: Nothing really. Could probably shave off a few minutes with a little more practice. Bike
Comments: A couple of minutes into the ride, my calves started to cramp up! They kept cramping the whole ride and I didnt feel like I could push it 100%. Took about 2 miles for my quads to warm up and get into the zone. There was a goofy kid on the side of the road on the bike course who was trying to get everyone to stop at his garage sale. Almost hit him once as he ran across road (might not have been such a bad thing...) What would you do differently?: Improve form? Train with more hills. Maybe add some swimming/bike bricks? Stretch a little more? I tend to start pedaling with my toes down instead of driving through the heel so that would be my guess. Transition 2
Comments: Pretty straight forward. Traded helmet for hat, took swig of gatorade and headed out. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: I didnt have pleasant experiences with the swim and bike so I was hoping the run would be better and it was. I felt pretty good and relaxed by the time I started running. My garmin definitely helped out because it kept me under 10 mins/mi which was my goal. What would you do differently?: I probably had a little gas left in the tank by the time I finished so I probably could have busted it a little harder on the run. Post race
Warm down: Ate a few cookies and a banana with some water. What limited your ability to perform faster: I will echo just about everyone else's race report... MORE TRAINING! (and experience) Event comments: My goal was to break 1:30:00 and I did so that was victory for me. Overall it was a great race. Weather was awesome. Last updated: 2010-10-22 12:00 AM

Set up transition. Ate a powerbar and hung with the fam. Tried to mentally prepare myself.
Just kept arms and legs moving.
