Pre-race routine:

Y was doing an indoor tri then I was meeting her for an night away.
Left house at 8:30 was meeting my new Freezeroo buddy, Mrs. Marmadaddy to drive up.
Had coffee, toast and peanut butter before leaving. It was raining. Rained the whole way there and up until the race started. J and I wondered why?

Short run up the road avoiding being run over by the ambulance.

This is series of 6 races of varying lengths every two weeks. Its a great way to keep running in the winter.
Julie and I started in the pack. Didn't know how to run this one. We always do the as training. I do want to get this one under 40 minutes. When I hit first mile under 8:00 I figured to go for it. Did OK could tell the hills slowed me down but I'm happy with the time considering the half Mary on Friday.
What would you do differently?:

Move south.

Warm down:

Ran back not to far to meet Julie. She was doing great. walked a little and headed home.
