Cut on right ankle two days before race definitely slowed me down.

Event comments:

This is my first race in the US and it was a lot of fun. Good music, clear instructions, great security at transition point. Lots of friendly people, both volunteers and participants. I'll be doing this race every year!

Course: First 1.5 miles of run were in packed sand. It really took a toll on my endurance... Legs felt like jello after running in sand.
