Swim
Comments: Water entry is a mess. Lake mead entry had mud and upon entering the water you sank up to your knee until your feet hit rocks below the mud surface. Rocky bottom with mud to your knee was difficult getting in and out of water. Once out of water the mud was thick and slippery getting on the boat ramp concrete. What would you do differently?: Too many VERY FAST swimmers in this event, I would stay more to the outside for collisions on take off. I would consider swim shoes. Transition 1
Comments: Transition are was hectic and many people racing in and out made running difficult until you got out of the transition area. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: This is a very hard course for your second triathlon. The bike was BRUTAL. What would you do differently?: Take a slower start out of T1 because that initial climb burned me out getting to the first level ground. I would run this course before the race a few times to figure out the timing. Transition 2
Comments: T2 was fine. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Run was ok but I pushed to hard, causing me to walk to much. Need to steady pace for entire run. What would you do differently?: Keep a steady pace. Post race
Warm down: None What limited your ability to perform faster: Hill, Hill, Hill. Event comments: Event organizers really know how to do their job. Food was EXCELLENT, race was organized, Overall best Tri ive ever done. Last updated: 2010-10-26 12:00 AM
