Bagel w/ light cream cheese 3 hours pre-race. 1/2 cup coffee. Banana.
16 oz liquid over 2 hours pre-race. Clif Shots (200 cal) in hour before race.
Event warmup:

Very little. Some light jogging (< 2 mins) as we approached starting line.

Comments:

Very crowded start + hills. Had to surge to break through 4 hour pace pack and 3:50 pace pack. Ran too fast at mile 12 otherwise hit planned splits exactly until mile 17.

What would you do differently?:

More drinking. Wind + cool temp caused lack of thirst caused under drinking.

Hydration, lack of planning for crowds affecting self pacing.
