Pre-race routine:

Woke up @ 0545 and ate my Vector.
Got dressed and waited for my ride.
Grabbed a cup of joe from the timmy's and went to the race.
We left earliar then needed cause of snow.
Got there in 30 mins. 1 and 1/2 hours early.
Event warmup:

About 1k warm up with a potty break
Run
  • 35m 20s
  • 8 kms
  • 04m 25s  min/km
Comments:

I started out way to fast and died near the end. Ran my first k in 348.
Nuts. But I kept on chugging. It was muddy in places living up to the name. My last 3 k were 14 mins so you can see I slowed my pace.
I only got passed by 3 people though from the start
What would you do differently?:

Not run so fast on the way out.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around for a little bit. Stretched congradulated the overall winners for the women and men. then cheered on the finishers.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The 22k run that I did friday.

Event comments:

Lots of door prizes. I won a cool water pack worth about 30 bucks.
My entry fee was only 10. Can not beat that.
You know, it was a good race the course was hard but we knew that when we came into it. I loved the run and will do it next year.

Course: This course was tough. It was really flat first k then a big hill. Then its very Undulating the whole way. Muddy and hard trail run. I wish I would have had better shoes.
