Coffee on the way to the race.
Event warmup:

No real warm-up. After the bus dropped us off at the swim start (the swim was a point to point swim) walked around to keep the legs warm.

Transition was big due to the fact that there lots of people, so it took a while to get to the mount line

Very good bike ride. Right on the nose for estimated time. The first hill was the hardest, and my calves did start to cramp up after it, but I took it easy for a little bit and they got better.
What would you do differently?:

More time on the bike would be good & maybe a bike fit to make some adjustments.

After the first 1 mile my quads started cramping up to the point all I could do was run for about 25-30 steps (slowly) and then I would need to walk for about a min to keep the really painful cramps from coming back.

What would you do differently?:

Not sure yet, but I need to get the cramps under control

The quad cramps during the run. The swim, T1, bike and T2 were great.

Event comments:

I enjoyed this race. It was my first Olympic and I will be back next year!
