Run
Comments: PR and just a good race for me. Mile 1: 7:37 Mile 2: 7:42 Mile 3: 7:54 Mile 4: 7:52 Mile 5: 7:36 Mile 6: 7:50 Mile 7: 8:07 Mile 8: 7:55 Mile 9: 8:02 Mile 10: 7:46 Mile 11: 7:53 Mile 12: 8:36 Mile 13: 7:59 Last 0.1: 0:50 As you can see my times are kind of all over the place. The first mile was fast because they started the marathon runner .1 mile ahead of us so had to get around them and picked up the pace to do so. Miles 5-7 hurt like hell because of the hills on 16th. At mile 7 I started to get some calf cramping. Plus it really started to warm up. Was doing well and knew I'd hit my time goal by mile 10, but the last 5k was just a sufferfest. It was hot and I was just physically exhausted. Thank god for being on campus and knowing the course or I would have started walking, maybe. ;) What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Walked and drank and ate! What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing, PR! Event comments: Love it because it is a home town race. Last updated: 2010-11-09 12:00 AM

Up at 4:45. Bagel with cream cheese. Relaxed and shaved. Got things ready. Got to the race just after 6:00. All of a 5 min drive to race start. :) Parked right in lot next to start line. Awesome.
