  • 300 yards
  • 02m 31s / 100 yards
Comments:

It was a triangular shaped course in a cove at Lake Rabon Park.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing it was a great swim.
Transition 1
  • 01m 30s
Comments:

Took a little longer than a would have liked because the run to transition was a little uphill that wore me out.
What would you do differently?:

Dry off better.
Bike
  • 37m 45s
  • 12.3 miles
  • 19.55 mile/hr
Comments:

I didn't pace myself for the course very well. I started off way to fast because a knew I could make up a lot of time but I didn't and I still really couldn't get going. During the whole ride I was really struggling to keep a good pace even on the flat highway. No matter how hard I rode I couldn't get into a good rhythm.
What would you do differently?:

Pace myself better for the first two miles and drink more.
Transition 2
  • 00m 43s
Comments:

Good transition, few mistakes.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Run
  • 24m 41s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 07m 58s  min/mile
Comments:

I was not looking forward to the run because I knew it was hard and I had pushed it too hard on the bike so I just tried to hold on. Overall I did pretty good but I was cramping the whole run.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I gave it all I had left.
Post race
Warm down:

Nothing.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing.

Event comments:

Packet pick up took a lot longer than I had expected but I still had plenty of time.

Course: The first mile of the course was the same as the bike and it was very hilly. The next 1/2 mile was a short downhill followed by a gradual uphill that lasted for a long time. Then we did a u-turn which ended up being a faster split because it was a net downhill. I think that the run was long maybe about 2/10 mile but it may not have been. This was a hard run course
