Pre-race routine:

walk up at 4 am, showered got my gear and was out the door 15 min later. i arrived at the race much too early could have easily gotten 30 min extra sleep.

got to the race i couldn't belive how well organized it was, i got of the highway parked, and was at the race site by 4:45 am. none of my friends were even there yet and i had 1.5 hrs to kill.

saw my friend before the race, he was going for a 1:30, in retrospect i should have started with the 1:30 group. my entire run was in z2. very low and very comfortable.

next time start with the 1:30 pace group.

went for a massage and just had some beer.

Event comments:

this is my first running race only have raced triathlons, but i will say that this was a well organized race. with 21k people this was just perfectly organized.

no parking problems, no delays, great route simply awesome. i almost wanted to skip it last minute.

Course: Course was little longer then 13.1. turned out to be 13.3 miles. had to do with how the marathon and half marathon people had the race divided. start is in biscayne blvd, then over the bridge to south beach thru south beach to venician causeway and back to downtown for a finish.
