Run
Comments: Didn't really have a plan for the 5k. Just wanted to go out slow and not burn my legs up because I knew it was going to be a long day. What would you do differently?: Nothing, I was happy with the 5k. Transition 1
Comments: Got in and out with no problem. Took my time and tried not to forget anything. What would you do differently?: Should have ran out with the bike. Bike
Comments: The first loop out I think everybody and their dog passed me. I thought I was doing pretty good a 16 mph. There were slot of fast folks out there. I had to stop at the porta potty coming back on the first loop. I couldn't get down on the aero bars. The wind on the second loop slowed me down a little but I finished ahead of schedule. What would you do differently?: More time in the saddle. My butt got a little sore coming back on the 2nd loop. Transition 2
Comments: Legs were shot. Had to walk the bike through transition. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: My legs were pretty smoked from the start. All I can say is I gutted it out and finished. What would you do differently?: Need to do more bricks. I did a lot of transition runs but only a couple of bricks. Post race
Warm down: Nothing special. Just stretched out and got something to eat. Then went home and took a nap. What limited your ability to perform faster: Inexperience. This was my first triathlon of any distance. Now I know the areas that need work. I'm definitely hooked. Event comments: It was a great race. Looking forward to racing with Red Rock again. Maybe SOMA. Last updated: 2010-11-17 12:00 AM
