Pre-race routine:

Got up around 7 AM, had my usual breakfast and left for the event around 7:45 AM, got there around 8:45 AM. Lots of people..had trouble getting to the bathroom for a final pitstop before the race. Took my 150 calorie Infinit mix approx. 20 mins before race start.
Event warmup:

Didn't have time to warmup because it took so long getting through the crowd, etc.

Comments:

Started off at my planned pace for the first 4 kms. Then from 4k to 19k, some of the splits were lower than I wanted. I did manage to get better splits in the hilly section which is probably what killed me for the end of the race. I ended up walking 2-3 times in the last 3 kms because my legs were simply shot.
What would you do differently?:

Train on more hills, lose some weight, and work on pacing a little better.

Not enough hill training, and carrying extra weight.

Course: All on roads. First 19 kms are flat, then a few rollers, and hills from 19 to 24, then the "big hill" at 25k mark. Last 3-4 kms are flat to downhill.
