Swim
Comments: It was a tune-up race and everything, but I should have made a better effort. What would you do differently?: Just go for it, it's a bloody sprint!!! Transition 1
Comments: Lost my place in transition What would you do differently?: Mark some how my rack to make it easy to recognize and find Bike
Comments: Keeping high cadence. Not having HR (as I always do) was weird. Good effort What would you do differently?: Always bring a back up HR monitor. I've been training and racing for too long with this tool and it's the way to manage the engine. Transition 2
Comments: Again had trouble finding rack. Run
Comments: Felt good. Since having taken it easy on the swim and bike, preserved some energy for the run. Keeping always that hamstring in my mind might held me back a bit. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Injured hammy and lack of HR monitor. Overall, I didn't have the motivation to hammer this race. I'm still very glad I did it to start getting things in sync also accumulated some valuable experiences Event comments: Great venue and atmosphere. I'll come back if I can. Early wake up and stretched for 20 min. Can feel left hammy but it's ok.
Breakfast.
Rode for about 4 miles, ran about two miles and swam 10 minutes. Had a hammer gel and got ready to start.
Garmin was out of battery, kind of freak out a bit,
