Swim
  • 37m 19s
  • 2100 yards
  • 01m 47s / 100 yards
What would you do differently?:

Start in front and stay in front. I waited and then had to swim through everyone. Also I need to work on spotting while swimming so my navigation will be better, I went way off course.
Transition 1
  • 07m 7s
Comments:

Thought it went very well, next time will not use bike shorts and shirt will use the same run epuipment.
Bike
  • 3h 49m 29s
  • 56 miles
  • 14.64 mile/hr
Comments:

Back hurt (between shoulders)last 16 miles, also if your foot hurts check your straps the shoes may be to tight, that caused some severe peroneal tendon pain in transition and 1st few miles on the run.
What would you do differently?:

train harder, Make sure I start with water on the bike. Pay closer attention to nutrition
Transition 2
  • 05m 54s
Comments:

went well until I had to stand on my right foot, had some bad tendonitis from shoe to tight on bike.
What would you do differently?:

Again should be waering same outfit for run as on bike so I do not have to change my shirt and pants. But really this was my 1st triathlon what do you expect.
Run
  • 2h 36m 42s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 11m 58s  min/mile
Comments:

Should get into a continuous run sooner. I love the oranges they helped a lot also chewing ice.
What would you do differently?:

I will not stop to try and urinate, it was a waste of about 10 minutes. I had to go but just could not get it out.
Post race
Warm down:

love the blankets

Event comments:

I had a blast. It was my first triathlon, so everything was new and exciting. All the competitors were nice and helpful. Special thanks to Dave Flournoy who helped keep me calm before the race. Very nice of him to notice a very scared racer, he took me under his wing and calmed me down and gave great encourgement!
