What would you do differently?: Train. I took most of Dec and Jan off. Transition 1
Comments: I racked near bike in/out which was a mistake since they allowed people to ride in transition. Leaving transition it was icy so I stopped to get on the bike so I was ready for the icy part. Bike
Comments: I was riding in my running shoes because 1) wanted to save time in transition and 2) didn't want to be clipped in on the ice and snow. Had to keep my toes pointed up a bit to keep my wet shoes on the pedals which started to lead to cramps in my shins. Feet slid off pedals a few times. What would you do differently?: Nothing -- I stayed upright :-) Ok, I should have switched to my traditional pedals to have better grip on my tennies. Transition 2
Comments: Ice on the way back into transition made it sketchy. Run
Comments: I could have pushed harder on this but really didn't want to, so there. What would you do differently?: Not put on a wind vest at the last second -- would have been dressed perfectly w/o that. Transition 3

Post race
Warm down: No warm-down to speak of -- Matt and Kathleen were waiting for me at the finish so we grabbed some free recovery drinks and chatted. Love those guys! What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training, 15# overweight. I can't wait til the race where this isn't the case. It will be this year dammit!!! Event comments: A fun race that you just can't get too serious about. Racing Underground does a great job! Looks like I may win the series in my AG -- gotta train for the next one!
