Pre-race routine:

Got up 3 hrs prior (5:30 AM), made coffee, 2 Deli thins with strawberry jam. Also had 32 oz Gatorade, 14 oz V-8 and a banana. Left at 6:45, traffic not bad, parked in garage, got there by 7:15!
Event warmup:

Walked a bit with Sharon (she's doing 5k) then did 1.78 for warm up. Didn't realize I was doing that much. Got carried away. Thought maybe I'd overdone it. Worked out OK. About 5 strides.

Awesome run. Love the Garmin. Helps me stay on track all the way. Must have sandbagged myself with Ortega. 2.5 minutes better than expected time! Pushed it hard up Atlantic, gutted it up the bridge and then flew down the bridge. had 6 min/mi pace at some points on the way down.

Warm down:

No cool down, just walking and beer. Got 15 min massage!! Awesome.

Great as always. Race delayed at beginning due to traffic.
