Pre-race routine:

The day before i took my 11 year old to the kids traithlon and she did great! She really enjoyed it. She pushed hard and didnt quit even when she was not sure she was going to make it.

Swim was ok. I had a weird start. The 3 waves before us they staged them and gave about 5 mins between. Then they moved my wave up to the start and i was getting ready knowing i had 5 mins..and not 10 seconds later they said GO..i was totally off guard. No big deal. Wore my mp3 swim player which keeps me calm. The dolphin divers maybe gained a few seconds on me running/ wading. Some people did it in there cycling shorts and top
What would you do differently?:

Not much really. I am not the fastest swimmer but i did improve. The dolphin diving looks exhausting. I knocked about 1 min off from last year. Winner was about 9 min 15 seconds.

I really need to make improvements here. It was warm so no need for arm warmers or anythnig.
I need Triathlon bike shoes so i dont have the sock hassle. I put glide on my ankles and that helped my suit come off. I put my team cycling jersey on over my tri suit. I think i should of worn it under my wetsuit.
Helmet on while i step out of my suit would help.
I did put baby powder in my socks but its time to get tri shoes.
What would you do differently?:

Get Tri shoes. practice leaving them on the bike.3 05 is way too long. Ths put me 7/10 in T1. Winner was 1:21!

What would you do differently?:

I dont know if lighter wheels and aero bars would help. I'm sure if i lost some weight it would help a boat load

I did race all the way to where i had to get off the bike.

I need to unclip from shoes on bike and run it. Tri shoes would help.

CRAZY!!! I didnt know i could run this fast. I completely went for it. I puked up during the run and just kept going. I had huge strides. I really hurt myself running like this and im not doing it again. Was NOT fun
What would you do differently?:

Run slower. I wanted to place but at what cost? I am not going to do this again was way too crazy and much to dangerous for me. Nearly fainted at the end. Awesome mtime but i PAID for it big time

19.1 Average. Kept my Heart rate at 150

Course: Yes there was some wind. The first 10 miles on this course seems fast, the next 20 seems slow. There was a good bit of uphill on the last 20 and i hit some strong winds. I wanted to keep my speed above 18 to beat last years time of 1:35. I was on my brand spanking new Tarmac bike it worked great. I really like the SRAM double tap and the Apex spec seems good enough for me right now. The road surface is rough for sure on alot of this ride. I kept my head down and pushed. I only got passed about 3 times. As we broke away from the sprint route there was alot less passing going on.
