Swim
Comments: Good swim,..easy. What would you do differently?: Get a little faster, break 33 min Transition 1
Comments: Looking run to t1 What would you do differently?: Not much could do Bike
Comments: Kept the bike aerobic, didn't hammer. Wanted to save the legs for the run as I knew that was going to be a sufferfest with the heat. What would you do differently?: Off season of bike fitness to gain extra time Transition 2
Comments: Good t2 for me...felt great after bike Run
Comments: Run was a killer in the 90+ heat and high humidity. What would you do differently?: Better run fitness and not take fuel belt with me Post race
Warm down: Walked, lots of ice water and ice on head. Got a massage and stretch. What limited your ability to perform faster: Humidity on the run. Better bike and run fitness, push the swim a bit more. I know by next year I can take at least 20 min off my time and hopefully break 5 hrs. This year the goal was 5.30 and I beat it by 6 min so I am happy. Event comments: Great run race, awesome volunteers and citizen support. Great venue for an Ironman. Roads are the only shitty part. There were so pure awful stretches of road. Last updated: 2010-12-18 12:00 AM
