Run
What would you do differently?: Train... I was injured, then sick and still injured, then injured and out of the country. I hadn't trained in over a month before the event. I know, this is a huge no-no, but as you can see from my time I did a great deal of walking. I think that I achieved the slowest half marathon time ever, but I beat the people who did not try. I tried and look forward to training properly for my next half marathon. I recently received custom foot orthotics that are expected to correct the injury that put my training on hold and am in the process of integrating them into my day to day life and training. Event comments: Some of the hydration stations did not have enough gels and energy drinks for the participants. This is something that should really be improved on next year. I wasn't using these products personally, but my husband was working one of the stations and said that they ran out very early. From my observations about half of the stations I passed offered me energy drinks/gels. Last updated: 2010-12-18 12:00 AM
