Run
Comments: I had no gadgets on me. Not even a wrist watch! So I had no idea of the time or distance I was doing. Hydrating posts were not every 2.5K as organizers had said, so I thought I hadn't reached 7.5K when I actually saw a 9K sign. Uff! What would you do differently?: I would take something to give me an idea of time/distance. Post race
Warm down: There were so many people getting out of the race area that it was impossible to warm-down. It was a cool night so I started to ache pretty soon. But my knees never hurt, which was amazing. What limited your ability to perform faster: Thinking the race was much longer than it was. Not knowing where I was and feeling kind of lost because of that. Event comments: It was a good race though. Good music, huge screens to reflect your shadow on, projections in tunnels and a very lively crowd. Last updated: 2010-12-23 12:00 AM

Trained 4 times a week during 4 months. Used an elliptical and turn to jogging outside only a week before the race. I should have done it earlier.
I thought my friends and I would warm up while waiting for the race to start. But there was so many people that it was almost impossible to move. So I did what I could jumping up and down and stretching as best as I could in a very limited space. But I was surprised at how good the atmosphere was.
