Run
Comments: I was happy with the run...although I was not able to hit my targeted paces the whole time...some of this was dure to having to weave through the crowd. Felt good for most of the race. The last two miles were the toughest...my legs felt like lead weights at this point and trying to get them to go faster was almost impossible. I cried at the finish...some because I was hurting and some because of the joy of my accomplishment. I think I did good with my nutrition on the run...took a gel at 50 mins into the race and then again at the 10 mile mark. What would you do differently?: I am sure there is something to do differently...but I am pleased with the race I had and I can not think of anything right now. Post race
Warm down: Stretched. Had a lot of chocolate milk and ate the breakfast provide...it was yummy! Also had a banana What limited your ability to perform faster: It was hotter than I would have liked it...and wet. I think if it was a little cooler and dry I might have been able to put up a little faster pace. Event comments: This was a good event. Although there were a ton of people everywhere it never felt crowded and chaotic. I was impressed with the organization of everything...it was a well oiled machine. I will do this one again....I hope. Last updated: 2010-12-28 12:00 AM

Got up at 4:30. Had a small cup of coffee and ate a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Walked over to the GRB, turned in morning bag and did a bit of strethcing. Drank some water before the race.
No real warmup...just used the first couple of miles of the race for that.
