Swim
Comments: Came out a little to fast. Wanted to go easy and build but went the other way. Still a good swim What would you do differently?: Not start the swim like I was shot out of cannon. Transition 1
Comments: My rack was really close to the Swim Out so that made life easier. However, the Bike Mount line was about 250 yds from my rack. Nice little warm-up run but still took to long. Calf compression sleeves took a little bit to get on as well. What would you do differently?: Not double check what I was doing and just do it. Also hope for a closer rack to the Bike Mount line.. Bike
Comments: Had a good out from Transition 1 and just went all out. Was a little too skiddish on the first lap but made up for it on the second lap. Has some issues with my eyes drying out..... What would you do differently?: Get new sunglasses that wrap around and block out most of the wind. My eyes were so dry it messed with my vision by the end of the bike. Also work on shifting when dealing with hills...Don't want to be out of gears too soon. Transition 2
Comments: This went better but still had the habit of double checking (oh, and the 250 yd. run to my rack). I think the transition times might have been OK without the quarter mile jog between. What would you do differently?: Practice my transitions so I do not have to double check anything. Run
Comments: Not what I expected....Was a lot more flat and downhill than I was prepared for. Got my legs back to normal before the first mile was up and upped the pace from there. That was the best run from the bike I have had. What would you do differently?: Go all out right from the beginning... Post race
Warm down: Crossed the Finish line, got my cool pint glass and a bottle of water. Then grapped some Shakespear's Pizza and enjoyed the moment. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not knowing what to expect....First Triathlon so all of this was a learning experience but a whole lot of fun. Now I have a good idea of how hard I can push based on distances and should do much better going forward. Event comments: Really a good experience overall. Was very organized and timely with everything. The swim was much more orgainzed than I thought it would be and move along very quickly. This is a race I would recommend to anyone looking to do their first Triathlon. Last updated: 2010-12-29 12:00 AM

Was up at 0400a and had my normal 3 packs of organic oatmeal, a granola bar and banana and cup of green tea. Felt good aside from the getting up way too early.
Got a quick 300m in the pool and quick walk through for Transition (Swim/Bike)
