Post race
Warm down:

Walked around waiting for my carpool. Did a little fake stretching

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of sleep for the 4 four nights leading up to the race.

Event comments:

I rated it the worst for the following reasons:
1) There were no gu's as promised on the first half
2) On the first half, several drink stations were out of drinks
3) The race course was poorly marked

Course: The first half of the course is beautiful. Running toward the Capitol Building and the White House was awesome. But even better is the closed course using Pennsylvania Ave, Independence, Constitution, etc. I felt powerful running right down the middle of these major thoroughfares, and realized that my 9 minute/miles were probably faster than my average drive. The second half is horrible. Through rough neighborhoods, but the worse part was the landfill and the trucks filled with trash. The odor wafted across about 1/4 mile of the course. Yuck.
