Swim
Comments: Had to pass a lot of people, so it made it difficult to get a good rhythm. Could not get a good breathing pattern. Ended up breathing on the left side on every stroke due to the chop and bumping. What would you do differently?: Work on breathing in a wetsuit. Indeed being so buoyant that it actually made it tough to work out the breathing roll. Not start at the back of the waive, had to pass way to many people. Transition 1
Comments: Lots of people walking in and out of transition so it made it difficult to run out with the bike. Forgot to setup garmin before the race so I took some time to get it ready to go. What would you do differently?: Bike shirt was difficult to get on when wet. Need to figure out a better way. Work on the layout of equipment in the transition area. Bike
Comments: Had a little tightness in the left hamstring for the first half. Had difficulty finding the time to take cliff shots and water during the ride (just could not get comfortable riding, drinking, eating). Had to pass a lot of people riding 2 and 3 wide, but for roads were wide enough in most places. What would you do differently?: Practice riding shorter and harder for sprints. Felt like I was just getting comfortable and it was over. Transition 2
Comments: Lots of people walking bikes into the transition area which made it difficult to run with the bike into the transition. I had to stop on several times because the shoot was blocked with people walking side by side. What would you do differently?: Work on the layout of equipment in the transition area. Run
Comments: Average run, hills were not bad. What would you do differently?: Need to train for more speed. Consider not hat. Post race
Warm down: Walking around and drinking water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Speed training. Event comments: Really good event. The run is a little long for a sprint. Last updated: 2010-12-31 12:00 AM
