Comments: Everything was soaking wet. We had to stay in line for the first 3/4 of a mile and that was very frustrating. What would you do differently?: Bring plastic bags ![]() Bike
Comments: Lost my water bottle and was pleased that they had them available at the half way point on the ride. Not sure if that's normal but I was happy to have it. What would you do differently?: Be very very cautious going over the rail road crossing (train tracks). ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Much better T2 than T1 What would you do differently?: Salt tabs and more fluids, my legs were starting to cramp. ![]() Run
What would you do differently?: Hydration and salt tabs and more hydration and salt. The cramps were unbearable. ![]() Post race
Warm down: walked it off, lots of fluids. What limited your ability to perform faster: Cramping Event comments: Good event well orgainized. I honestly think the rain was what made the start so late. Course was nice, just needed to take it easy going over the RR crossing, and I was not physically prepared for the hills on the run. I didn't even know that people took salt tabs etc to help prevent cramping. Beautiful area, nice course, lots and lots of food post race. Just was really wet but I think most people made the best of the situation. Last updated: 2010-12-31 12:00 AM

This was my first Olympic Tri. I stayed at a friends house about 20 mins away. Woke up had a bannana gatorade, and a Cliff bar while driving in the rain to the race site. Was lucky to find street parking. Rushed to the rack and finally set up near the back. Unfortuatly I didn't think to bring any to protect my gear from the rain so everything go soaked (will never make that mistake again).
Swam a couple of lengths in the Lake, I used my wet suit and I thought the water was fine, not to cold or choppy.
