Total Time = 2h 36m 47s
Overall Rank = 168/362
Age Group = 30-34
Age Group Rank = 20/42
Pre-race routine:

Walked through the transition, admired bikes, talked with friends.
Event warmup:

Swam a few out and backs before my wave went out. Watched the elites start then had to quickly get in the lineup since I was wave 3.
Swim
  • 24m 26s
  • 1640 yards
  • 01m 29s / 100 yards
Comments:

Good swim, wanted under 25min and hit that, but didn't over do it. Positioning for the start was hard with the "go around the pontoon boat" so no one could run down the beach and start. Started in the middle and tried to beat the pack around the boat to set up for the first leg which worked well.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe go harder if I improve my bike and run.
Transition 1
  • 02m 29s
Comments:

Lost my goggles somewhere in the long run to the rack. Had my cap, but goggles weren't anywhere.
What would you do differently?:

Hold goggles and cap in hand instead of putting them in sleeve.
Bike
  • 1h 15m 46s
  • 25.5 miles
  • 20.19 mile/hr
Comments:

Goal was over 20mph. This was my first race with the clip on aero bars. I've practiced with them a lot, but running at race pace while in aero 95% of the time really tired the hamstrings. Race was set a little longer than standard Olympic, so I'm happy with that time. Still not fast, but improving.
What would you do differently?:

Practice more on road in aero.
Transition 2
  • 01m 27s
Comments:

Actually felt a lot slower than the time shows.
Run
  • 52m 42s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 08m 29s  min/mile
Comments:

I wanted to go faster, but my hamstrings would not let me. I wanted under 8min/mi, but as soon as I dropped to that range, my hamstrings wanted to cramp up. I was hydrated enough, I just think I wore them out too much on the bike. Training for a HIM in July so I've been doing a lot of distance work and slow speeds, trying to push speed just wasn't working for me on this run. All in all, I was very happy with my time. I wanted in the 2:30s and hit well into that. It was my 2nd OLY and I beat last years time by 10min.
What would you do differently?:

Run more, faster.
Post race
Warm down:

Watched a friend finish, packed up, talked with some people in transition.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training for the run.

Event comments:

I've done the sprint last year and the olympic this year, I think its time to move on to a different venue.
